Project information: manuscripts, drafts, briefs, interview recordings/transcripts, and other content you share with us for ghostwriting, editing, or publishing-assistance work
Payment information: billing details processed via our payment gateway (IWF does not store card numbers)
Website usage data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, collected via cookies/analytics tools
Enrollment data: information submitted for The Ghost Semester or other programs

To deliver ghostwriting, editing, and publishing-assistance services
To communicate about projects, proposals, invoices, and program enrollment

Confidentiality of Client Work
All manuscripts, personal stories, and materials shared with IWF for ghostwriting or editing purposes are treated as strictly confidential and are protected under our client Non-Disclosure Agreements. We do not share, publish, or disclose client content to any third party without written consent, except where required by law.
Data Sharing We do not sell personal data. We may share data with:

Employees and contracted freelancers directly involved in your project, bound by NDA
Service providers (payment gateways, hosting, email/CRM tools such as Zoho) strictly for operational purposes
Legal or regulatory authorities where required by law

Data Retention We retain personal and project data only as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose it was collected for, or as required under applicable law, after which it is securely deleted or anonymized.

Refund & Cancellation Policy

This policy applies to all services offered by Ink Without Footprints, including ghostwriting and editing engagements, The Ghost Semester program, and digital products (such as The Ink Files) sold via our website or third-party platforms (e.g., Gumroad).

Ghostwriting & Editing Services

Engagements begin only after a signed agreement and receipt of the agreed advance/retainer payment.
The advance/retainer payment is non-refundable once work has commenced, as it secures dedicated project time and resources.
If a client cancels a project before work begins, any payment made (minus a processing/admin fee of [Insert %]) will be refunded within [Insert number] business days.
Milestone-based payments already invoiced for completed milestones are non-refundable.
In the rare case IWF is unable to deliver agreed work due to circumstances within our control, a pro-rated refund will be issued for undelivered milestones.

The Ghost Semester

Enrollment fees are refundable, minus a processing fee, if cancellation is requested at least 7 days before the cohort start date.
No refunds will be issued once the cohort has commenced.
Seats may be transferred to a future cohort once, subject to availability, at no additional cost.

Digital Products (e.g., The Ink Files and more)

Due to the nature of digital downloads, all sales are final once the product has been delivered/downloaded.
Refunds may be considered only in cases of duplicate purchase or a technical failure preventing access, reported within 7 days of purchase.

How to Request a Refund Refund requests must be submitted in writing to operations@inkwithoutfootprints.in , including proof of payment and reason for the request. Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 15 business days.
Governing Law This Refund & Cancellation Policy is governed by the laws of India, with disputes subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
